Terms of Service

Effective Date: June 1, 2026

Welcome to House of Pickle. By accessing our facilities, booking courts, or using our services, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using House of Pickle facilities, website, or services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our facilities or services.

2. Facility Access and Membership

2.1. Eligibility You must be at least 18 years of age to enter into a membership agreement. Minors may access the facilities with parental or guardian consent and supervision as required.

2.2. Membership grants you access to facilities, courts, and member benefits as outlined in your membership tier.

2.3 Day Pass Fees  Playing on a free court booking made by an Unlimited or Off-Peak member? You’ll need a Day Pass — unless your own membership also includes free court access. This applies to guests and Standard/Social/Off-Peak members joining those bookings. If you are unsure what your membership benefits are, please contact us at memberships@houseofpickle.com.au.

2.4 Member Paddle Rental: Paddle rentals are free to members, but a $5 fee applies to all guests/non-members.

2.5 Extra Players – Our courts rates are based on 4 players per court, up to a maximum of 6 players. Any additional player will be charged $5 per hour.

2.6 Court Bookings House of Pickle offers both private court hire and open play sessions. Private court hire provides exclusive use of a court for you and your group. Open play sessions allow individuals to play with other community members. All players must book in advance – whether for private court hire or open play – to ensure capacity limits are maintained. Bookings can be made online through our website or app. Court times are subject to availability, and bookings must be honored or canceled in accordance with our cancellation policy.

2.7. Facility Access Access to facilities is available during regular operating hours. Members may enter the facility during open hours using their membership credentials. Access may be revoked if Terms of Service are violated

2.8 Venue Closure House of Pickle may temporarily close courts, facilities or venues for maintenance, repairs, events, upgrades, safety reasons or operational requirements. Such closures do not entitle members or customers to compensation unless otherwise required by law.

2.9 Membership Fees: House of Pickle has the right to increase current members membership fees by providing 30 days written notice.

2.10 Commercial Activities: No person may use House of Pickle facilities for commercial purposes, including coaching, training, tournaments, events, lessons or organised activities for financial gain, without the prior written consent of House of Pickle.

2.11 Membership Sharing Memberships are strictly personal and may not be shared, transferred, loaned or assigned to another person. House of Pickle reserves the right to suspend or terminate any membership suspected of misuse. Memberships are non-transferable and for personal use only.

3. Payment and Fees

3.1. Membership Fees Membership fees are charged according to your selected plan. Payment is due in advance and processed automatically on the scheduled billing date.

3.2. Court Booking Fees Private court hire and open play sessions are charged according to our current rate structure. Payment is required at the time of booking for private court hire. Open play sessions may have a separate fee structure as outlined on our website.

3.3. Late Payments Failure to pay membership fees may result in suspension or termination of access to facilities and services.

3.4. Refunds Membership fees are non-refundable except where required by law. Court bookings may be refunded in accordance with our cancellation policy.

3.5 Future Bookings – any player can only hold a maximum of 40 future bookings at any time.

4. Cancellation Policy

4.1. Court Bookings Court reservations may be cancelled up to twenty-four (24) hours prior to the scheduled reservation time to receive a full refund of the booking fee. Cancellations submitted less than twenty-four (24) hours before the scheduled reservation time will result in a charge equal to the full reservation cost. In the event that a coaching lesson was included with the reservation, the applicable coaching fee will also be charged.

4.1.1 No Show Failure to attend a booked court reservation or session without prior cancellation will be treated as a cancellation within twenty-four (24) hours and no refund or credit will be issued.

4.1.2 Member No-shows and Late cancellations Free member court bookings are a benefit, not a placeholder. If you don’t attend a booked court, or you cancel with less than 24 hours’ notice, the booking will be charged at full rates. Failure to attend without cancelling is treated the same as cancelling inside 24 hours. This applies equally to Social members: if you reserve an Open/Social Play session and don’t show up, the session will be charged at full rates.

4.1.3 Signature Membership Free Court Booking Signature membership includes up to 4 court hours per day, counted per court, not per booking. Example: 2 courts booked from 2pm to 6pm = 8 hours. Four hours are included; the additional 4 hours are charged at full rates.

4.1.4 Membership Set At Primary Location Signing up at a second venue because your home venue’s memberships are sold out isn’t permitted, and those memberships will be reviewed and corrected.

4.2. Membership Cancellation Members may cancel their membership at any time.  Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds will be issued for partial billing periods.

4.3. Cancellations made by HOP Cancellations due to weather conditions, made by admin or customer support will be eligible for a full refund of their reservation costs.

4.3.1 Force Majeure House of Pickle shall not be liable for any cancellation, interruption or closure caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to severe weather, power outages, government restrictions, natural disasters, equipment failures or public health emergencies.

4.4 Cancellation Policy — Corporate Bookings

For all corporate bookings, a 50% deposit must be paid upfront to secure the booking. This deposit is non-refundable.

In the event of cancellation, the 50% deposit will be retained as a credit toward a future booking with House of Pickle.

Final numbers for corporate events must be confirmed no later than one week prior to the event. Any reduction in participant numbers after this time will not be refunded. Any increase in participant numbers after this time will be added to the final invoice.
